Every artwork has some kind of meaning however some works may have a much greater importance. Art gives people the freedom to go to town. It liberates people permitting them to communicate feelings with the rest of the world that may not be explainable with words even though writing is also an art. Many different perspectives of what are art is exist and they vary individually. This is because art is double subjective due to the fact that it is pure creativity. Before expanding more on the topic I would choose to give a brief definition of what art is to me. I believe art refers to any single merchandise that reflects the artist's critical thinking and creative thought. It is true that what might be art for one person might not be art for another person but the is point I want to make is that every decides what he or she considers to be art. Nowadays, If art is so subjective then how do we know perhaps you work of art? Where can we draw the queue? I believe drawing the line doesn't seem possible because some people may consider something to be art while someone else might not. What makes the distinction between what is art and what is not is whether the artist used ORIGINAL ideas. Many people judge art based on their personal taste and this is not correct because each person has different tastes. Mrs. Leiva once told us that if she did not consider the artist's work, Then she did not think it over art. Here is a clear example of how people judge artworks with their personal desires and demands which is wrong. Just because you don't realize a person's artwork, It does not worsen it or better. Artists sometimes may fail at sending the message they want to send but other times the meaning is very personal and they do not care regardless of whether others feel the same when they see it. I am not trying to say that we simply cannot have our opinions regarding different artworks. It is ok to give constructive criticism but in the mean time respect the artist's work because sometimes it may not look pretty but there is a huge significance behind it. In IB art we must always explain our artwork's meanings and frequently it's very difficult since I many times draw things simply because I felt like it at the moment. The fact that it is hard to give it a meaning or maybe explain the meaning to others does not mean that it is not a work of art.
