4 million sale tag on Carlisle's Lonsdale movies

4 million sale tag on Carlisle's Lonsdale theater I live half of the season in Eastbourne and the other half in Carlisle and hope to retire to my native Cumbria in due course. I don't think local people realise just how much they have got and the grass is always greener in opposition. Carlisle is a marvellous city, Historical background alone,Browsing, Rail and road service,Towards the Lakes, Hadrians wall cathedral museum and so forth do try Eastbourne, Bad rail and road network tragic shopping, Nothing can beat the historical importance, BUT 3 cinemas! Please please don't relieve Lonsdale where I spent lots of nights screaming at the Stones,Beatles etc Yes yes yes Carlisle needs a complete Arts centre,Where any better then the Lonsdale [Ask all those people go to Keswick!] Anne Pitts Jay machine, With quotes like that,This project needs a better vision than a wishy washy idea thats only probably still after council funding if it ever opens, This borough wastes an ample amount of our money as it is, Bridge over castle way with non toiling lifts, Renaisance activity, A silly bid for city of culture,You obviously have not read Fiona's advice and looked at the research. You won't find anything wishy-Washy in place - it's all planned out in quite specific plans. And to say that West Walls is not sold out demonstrates this you never actually go to West Walls. The new build one would cost £23M. It's a full no-Brainer that The Lonsdale is not only just The Flexible Periodization Method Is A Flexible, Result-producing System That Strength Coaches And Personal Trainers Use To Create Completely Individualized, Long-term Training Programs For Fitness Enthusiasts, World Class Athletes And Everyone In Between The Flexible Periodization Method – Gain An Edge On The Competition. the people's choice, But numerous choice!Read the report before demeaning it! Greetings,Erina (7/4/10 - 11.03) - Not something of praise or criticism. There are legal reasons why the comment facility cannot be added to some stories so adding them to everything is unthinkable. Logistically, The perfect time-Intensive task. For motive given above, This facility is possibly manually added to articles. I therefore try to select stories that I think people will be or are curious about. Our company keeps going a pre-Moderated cover, Signifies every message submitted has to be 'vetted' before release. A number have to be edited for legal reasons and as they are deemed to be personal attacks. No issue with attacking the content of a post - however is not the poster. A lot of posts are let go outside of 'work' hours in what could be termed 'spare' time. Don't wish plaudits or praise - just revealing to it like it is :-)All having said that, I will do my best to try and increase the number of articles where you can leave feedback. If there is a story you feel would generate attorney at law - and we haven't added this center to it - move it. It is possible to email me here. Not reaching that, There is always selecting sending a letter to the editor for possible inclusion in the paper. IanOnline manager This is one case how the council has got it right it doesnt happen often does it, The miute a building like this comes in to the danger zone someone decides it could be an arts centre, Just about any large town in the uk has gone for an arts centre and they do nothing. This city needs to pull its socks up sort out botchergate before you concern yourself an arts centre paving outside the station ( Extra ) And pedestrianising the old quarter. Waste waste waste and their work the city needs never gets done. Hi all, MichaelI think that you and some of the others on this web site have a mistaken idea of what the new Lonsdale plan includes. It is certinaly not cracking open it as a cinema again. It is planned as an Arts Centre and the analysis is a Feasibility Study, Undertaken by independent expert theatre consultants who have planned for the population and demographics of Carlisle etc. They say it is feasible. And they must know! So very, It isn't just unrealistic or an up in the air hazey idea of what we want. While 'Allo 'Allo was on at The Sands, "Watching for Godot" Most likely was considered on in Newcastle - had sold out concerts for 6 whole weeks and I couldn't get a ticket. You can theatres are not big money earners, But lucky for Newcastles economic state, Someone had the foresight to see that individuals don't JUST spend money in the theatre, But also spend money on, Buy foodstuff, Car auto airport vehicle etc. The wider area. Super the council have got a lot, Adequately, A great deal, Of things wrong during 10 years but this isn't one of them. Spend millions on a white elephant may possibly then need subsidised for ever more? Your footfall won't be there to keep it turning a profit by itself. That experts claim Stanwix Arts Theatre struggles to sell out a 200-Seat area shows this. Ask rich Herring, They know. The feeling I'm getting is that much less people are confident in the local council, And to make a mess of the Lonsdale building would simply decrease this number of individuals further. I'm fairly convinced the reporters could handle criticism and praise - what / things you say
